One of my favorite things about being a florist is all the incredible places I get to visit. I can tell you that no two venues are exactly alike and that it is so important to understand the mood you are trying to set and the environment in which you and your guests will be most at home. Please see below for some of my very favorite venues close by and who I think they'd be most suited to.

Industrial Minimalism + Exceptional Coffee

Publik has a genuine understanding of creating a mood with an interior space using a sort of rustic minimalism that is nothing short of breathtaking. Think open space and emphasis on the industrial in warm wood, brick and concrete. Their events space on 975 S. West Temple is the most stunning canvas to add warm wood farm tables, rustic naturalist floral design, bare industrial lighting and metal or wood centerpieces. Add a few antique carpets for a cozy touch. Primarily an interior space, the place is ideal for winter weddings and intimate dinners. Not to mention the incredible aroma of their coffee wafting in from next door, a cool space in sunlit whitewashed walls, concrete floors and metal banisters also available to rent as part of your wedding package.

Swedish Minimalism, Sprawling Space + Incredible Rentals

You won't forget your first impression of Ember as you enter the bright sunlit glass bank of windows at the front door that opens into the sprawling interior space with 14 foot ceilings, a built in artisan bar, strung lights, fabric drapery, wooden pillars and the most incredible rentals you can imagine (to start, they have a gold couch that once belonged to JFK). The space unfolds in never-ending possibilities with Ember, an upstairs and downstairs bride and groom's room, a complete outdoor patio/garden area, four bathrooms, a full kitchen and Spark next door - a beautifully industrial brick space also with an upstairs bridal suite. If you've got a large wedding party, consider getting ready in the upstairs bridal suite loft, having your ceremony at Spark, cocktail hour in the garden and an intimate candlelit dinner at Ember, incredibly styled by the uber talented team of ladies who run the place.

Breathtaking natural landscape, formal gardens, water features and indoor dining just 15 minutes from Salt Lake City.

When I first saw pictures of Louland Falls, I assumed it was somewhere down south, as in a five hour drive away. I was surprised to learn it was just a quick jaunt up Parley's Canyon to the red rock cliff, natural water features and breathtaking archway overlooking mountains complete with soaring native birds of prey. Louland Falls is the perfect combination of wild outdoor garden wedding with a formal atmosphere. Between the sprawling outdoor patio, luxury bride and groom suites available for overnight stays for you and your wedding party, darling bright lit indoor section great for dancing and dining and exquisite catering run by owner and events coordinator Mark Petrey, you've got everything you need for the perfect day.

Walking into the all windows, brightly lit atmosphere of The Falls Events Center, you'll find plenty of space for any size wedding, immaculately placed tables and place settings and a venue that makes a point of building good relationships with some of the best vendors in town. The Event Coordinators at the Falls are incredibly organized, friendly and helpful and it is of utmost importance to them that everything is perfect on your big day. The place is immaculately clean and the bridal suite is gorgeous. With an incredibly convenient location at Trolley Square in the heart of downtown and a dedicated parking garage, your guests are bound to feel cared for and the stress levels of transportation and parking will be at an all-time low.
